The wine is refreshing with concentrated fruit flavours of red summer fruits and soft herbs. The subtle fruit sweetness adds a creaminess to the palate giving a smooth mouthfeel. The addition of a small quantity of Syrah in the blend adds a richness and subtle sweetness to the palate.Lifted acidity, richness of flavour and a lengthy finish make this Rosé ideal not just as a summer wine, but perfect to enjoy all year round, particularly with food. 12.5% Alcohol.
The Stoney Range Rosé was produced from grapes grown on our Pilgrim, Glasnevin, Terraces, Georges Rd, Stirling and Church Road vineyards in the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. After 2 days of skin contact the lightly coloured juice was racked off the skins and put through a cool fermentation. The selected parcels were then blended and aged on lees for a further 2 months. The wine was then lightly fined, filtered and bottled.
